Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Framewise — the website builder at this domain, the sites it publishes on your behalf, and the code it exports for you. Using the product means you accept them.

If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming that you have the authority to do so, and "you" in these terms means that company.

You can generate a site without an account. Keeping one, publishing it, or exporting it requires signing in.

• Give us an email address you actually control, since that is how we reach you.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
• One person per account. Teams should use separate accounts.

Anything lawful. Business sites, portfolios, client work, personal projects, things you are only experimenting with. Building sites for your clients is expressly allowed and is one of the things the product is for.

You may not use Framewise to build or publish:

• Anything unlawful where you or your visitors are.
• Sites that impersonate a real person, company or public body, or that are designed to deceive visitors into giving up credentials or payment details.
• Malware, phishing pages, or infrastructure for attacking other systems.
• Content that harasses, threatens or sexualises a real individual, or that sexualises children in any form.
• Anything infringing someone else's copyright or trade marks.

We will remove published sites that break these rules, and we will close accounts that keep doing it.

You own what you make. Your text, your images, your logo, the site you assemble, and the code exported from it are yours. We claim no ownership over any of it, and we do not license it from you for anything beyond running the service — storing it, displaying it back to you, and publishing it when you ask.

We own the product. Framewise itself — the application, the section library as a library, the design system, the generator — remains ours. Using the product does not transfer it.

The section components in a project you export are yours to use, modify and ship in that project without restriction. What you may not do is repackage the library itself as a competing template collection or website builder.

The generator writes a first draft. It is a good one, and it is still a draft written by a machine that has never met your business.

• Check it before you publish. Claims about your services, prices, qualifications, opening hours and legal status are your responsibility, not ours.
• Generated text is not guaranteed unique. Two similar descriptions can produce similar copy. If uniqueness matters to you, edit it.
• We do not warrant accuracy. Nothing the model writes should be treated as advice — legal, medical, financial or otherwise.

Images from the built-in picker come from third-party libraries under their own licences. Check the licence before using one commercially.

There is a free plan that is genuinely usable: generate as many sites as you like, use the whole editor, and export your work. Paid plans add published sites, custom domains and team features.

• Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose.
• Cancel whenever you like, from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the period you are in.
• If something goes genuinely wrong on our side, write to us. We would rather refund you than argue.
• Prices during early access may change. Existing subscribers get notice before a change takes effect and can cancel instead.

Your work is never held hostage. If you stop paying, your projects remain in your account and remain exportable. What lapses is publishing, not access.

Framewise is in early access. It works end to end, and it is also younger than the products it is competing with. We are telling you that here rather than in a footnote.

We do not offer a formal uptime guarantee yet. We will not silently remove a feature you depend on; where something has to change, we will say so first. Keeping an exported copy of anything critical is sensible advice with any hosted product, including this one.

Do not:

• Attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service or its rate limits.
• Automate the generator to bulk-produce sites for resale as a template library.
• Access accounts, projects or data that are not yours.
• Resell access to Framewise itself, as opposed to selling sites you build with it.

Reasonable use is not metered by stopwatch. This clause exists for abuse, not for a busy week.

Publishing, exporting, authentication and image search rely on third parties — listed in the privacy policy. When you connect one of those accounts, that provider's own terms apply to your use of it, and their outages are not something we can fix from here.

You can stop at any time. Delete your account from your settings, or ask us and we will do it permanently.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to harm other people, or where we are legally required to. Except where the law prevents it or where the abuse is severe, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your work first.

The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that generated content will suit your purpose, or that it is free of defects.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business or lost data.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

We will update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top says when that last happened. For material changes we give account holders notice by email before they take effect; continuing to use the product afterwards means you accept them.
