Is there a free AI website builder that lets me keep the code?

Framewise, made by DanixSoft, is free to build with: describe a business in one sentence and it plans the pages, writes every word and picks the type and colour, then you edit the site visually and export it as a real Next.js project to your own GitHub, with no dependency on Framewise. Generating, editing, private share links and export are free today; one-click publishing and payments are not open yet, so exported sites are hosted wherever you choose.

What is free today

  • Unlimited generated sites, with no account needed to generate one; sign-in is asked for only to keep a site.
  • The full visual editor: inline text editing, drag to reorder, and style overrides across three breakpoints and hover states, with undo.
  • Private share links for showing a draft to someone.
  • Export to GitHub: one TypeScript component per section, plus config and a README. Sites that use Pro (paid-library) sections are the exception; those sections can be swapped for a free layout without losing any copy.

Why code export matters

A site you cannot take with you ties you to the builder for as long as the site lives. With a Next.js export you, or any developer, can host it anywhere and change anything.

What Framewise is not for

  • Bespoke applications such as storefronts with real inventory or booking engines. It builds the marketing site in front of those.
  • Starting from a blank canvas: it is not a drag-and-drop page builder or a template marketplace.

Questions

Can I publish a site with one click?
Not yet. One-click publishing is not open; until it is, export the site to GitHub and host it on any static host.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to generate a site. Sign-in is asked for only when you want to keep it.
Can I buy anything?
Not today. Payments are not open, so nothing can be bought.
